GOING BACK TO BARROW AS WE TRY TO TRAVEL NORTH!! #2

It is the same day and Beanie is with me now in the kitchen. It seems more real and doable with her with me.

Beanie said that since I want to go over the North Pole if possible, that I shouldn't give up. If we get stuck and have to come back home to Memphis,  we can always find another route and start over. I have a hunch we might start over many times!?!

Beanie said, "Annie, Ya know what I would just love to do?  Go back to Barrow. It is one ot the most northerly towns in the whole world. And when we were there before, I was so afraid of getting on a plane to come home, I didn't enjoy it so much."

{To explain. Beanie had gone by herself up to Barrow as a tribute to her late husband, Tom. Before they married, he had worked briefly in Barrow and always wanted to return and take her with him. She wasn't interested...and after Tom died. Beanie felt so bad about her selfishness, that she went to Barrow on her own. Things were fine until she got ready to board a plane for home...and then she froze. She called me to come up there and rescue her and I did..}

I responded that I loved the idea and didn't see any reason for Barrow not to be on our route.

April 29 looks like a good day weather wise...sunny., 7 high. So we will leave Memphis then. We will stay at the TOP OF THE WORLD HOTEL the way we did before.
We will eat and hang out at the restaurant next door again.

These homes are built on pilings because you can't build directly on the ground because buildings would sink??!! Beanie and I will walk through the neighborhoods again. We are so excited!!

It will be so much fun to be there again after two years. We have some friends (I made up) there I am sure they can help us with our plans.
